QILICHQA ZABUN BOʻLMOQ
ҚИЛИЧҚА ЗАБУН БЎЛМОҚQILICHQA ZABUN BOʻLMOQ
qilich chopishda ojiz boʻlmoq
Bir kun gʻanim kishisi koʻprak keldi. Xeyli urush boʻldi. Hech tarafdin ortuqsiliq boʻlmadi. Bizning bir tugʻluq kishi yengilrak yonib xandaqqa kiribtur. Baʼzi Saydi Qarobekning tugʻi edi dedilar. Saydi Qaro, agarchi soʻziga oʻz edi, qilichigʻa zabunroq edi [82].
One day, a larger body of the enemy than usual advanced, and there was a very sharp fight, without any marked advantage on either side. Of my troops, one who had a standard, behaved ill, ran off, and got into the trench. There were persons who pretended to say that the standard was Sidi Kara Beg's; and, in truth, Sidi Kara, though most valiant in speech, by no means made the same figure with his sword [92].
Bir kun gʻanim odamlari koʻproq keldi. Xiyla urush boʻldi. Hech kimga gʻalaba nasib etmadi. Bizning bayroqdorimiz yengillik qilib ortga qaytib xandaqqa kiripti. Baʼzilar Saydi Qarobek bayrogʻi edi, dedilar. Saydi Qaro, garchi soʻzining ustidan chiqadigan kishi esa-da, qilichga kelganda kuchsizroq edi [80].
One day when they were in unusual force, there was much fighting but neither side had the advantage. Out of that engagement one of our men went rather hastily back into the entrenchments; he was using a standard; some said it was Sayyidi Qara Beg's standard who really was a man of strong words but weak sword [205].
