Community monitoring

Systems that can be adopted by the communities for their local environmental monitoring. These systems can be based on simplified technologies (by analogy with litmus paper) or can be more complicated and require a training of local specialists in basic sampling and testing procedures. In either case, the involvement of the community in design and implementation of the monitoring system is important.
