Certification

The process and assessment procedure used by the enterprises to judge if the monitoring facilities and measures are in conformity with a specific standards. Certification is carried out by a competent and officially authorized body which is independent from the certified enterprise or the supervising authority bodies. Certification includes a systematic comparison of different aspects of monitoring (such as equipment, quality control systems and qualification of personnel) with documentary recording of procedures and criteria. There are both national and international certification schemes.
