Biological ponds

ponds used for biological treatment of sewage. Used independently – for treatment by micro-organisms and algae of sinks, saturated with easily oxidizing organic matters, or as the intermediate objects between the industrial treatment facilities and the natural water receivers. They operate by a principle of self-treating of water, accrue sludgy mass which can be used in agriculture as fertilizer or as a raw material for its production.
